Open World Student Graphic Designer
Open World is DigiPen Institute of Technology's K-12 Summer Program that fosters high quality learning experiences for children interested in learning skills in the game industry like computer science, game design, music, and art.
Hired during the school semester, I have been tasked to design the program's shirts, promotional flyers and upcoming materials/merchandise needed during the program. While being self-motivated, meeting deadlines, and managed my own schedule.
Student and Staff T-Shirts
To be distributed and worn by the whole program, I was initially tasked with designing two different shirts for staff and students. Keeping in mind that it will be worn during the heat of summer, being a shirt that all ages can wear confidently, and be a high-quality shirt with a sleek design but low cost. In the end we had three different shirt designs with only one screen print color: one for children under 12, another for teenagers and up, and staff. Two shirt colors are shown here, Teal and Steel Blue, I left it up to my supervisors to decide. This design features the brand's mascot Pixel designed by Sophia Baldeon, Open World's logo and fonts.
Check-In 1
For the first check-in, I had concepts for the initial idea of having only two shirts.
We decided to finalize 1d for the kids, but have a separate shirt for teens, Innovators. With the request to have DigiPen in the front and Innovators in the back. For the staff shirt, 4b was also chosen to be finalized but requested to have the back say "STAFF," like a sports jersey.
Check-In 2
For the last check-in, f3 for the front and 2a for the back was chosen to be finalized for the teen shirt. Lastly, b2 was chosen to finalize for the back of the staff shirt.
Pixel Sticker Sheet
Also to be distributed to the students, is Open World's mascot Pixel. Character designed by Sophia Baldeon.

Open World Portfolio Folder
A folder to be distributed with informational packets to students and parents at events. Folders will be printed in a matte finish through GotPrint.com.

Banner
A Banner to be printed 21.625" x 54" to be displayed at outreach events to promoting the program.
We wanted a simple but eye-catching banner featuring Pixel and a QR Code to the site.

Flyers
These flyers were to be handed out and displayed at promotional events for the summer program. Given a template to design off of, I rearranged and added elements to be able to display useable QR codes, promotional discount codes, while featuring relevant information of the program.
